The Sixteen Mile Ranch
At the end of the road sits the Sixteen Mile Ranch, this ranch is not only noted as some of the best trout fishing in the state but also for producing Big Bull Elk. The setting will take your breath away as you have the opportunity to glass the ranch from ranch headquarters. The ranch offers an excellent road system and the terrain is relatively mild with heavy timber patches and strategically logged timber and rolling lush meadows into the sage brush bottoms. Over the last 10 years this ranch has produced several mature bulls, the ranch also has a healthy population of black bears that use the creek bottoms to feed on choke cherries as they prepare for the winter months. Archery hunters and early season rifle hunters can also enjoy mid day fly fishing on the legendary Sixteen Mile Creek that flows through the heart of the ranch.

The Willow Creek Ranch
Willow Creek Ranch consists of 20,000 acres of the fastest paced archery elk hunting in Montana. There are lots of elk that are extremely active in the Rut. The Bull to Cow ratio is 1 to 4 and it is not uncommon to hear bulls from the Ranger while gathering your gear for the morning or evening hunt. All of our 2011 archery hunters enjoyed 100% shot opportunity on bulls every day they hunted. Bulls will range from 280 to 320 with a handful every year reaching the 340”+ mark. Rifle hunting is very limited on this ranch but the action is just as good as the archery hunting. Rifle hunters will enjoy multiple opportunities on bulls and will typically see hundreds of elk per day. Our 2011 Rifle Hunters were 100% successful on 6x6 and 7x7 bulls.

The Fox Creek Ranch
This 10,000 acre archery elk hunting Mecca lies between our Willow Creek Ranch and Our Sixteen Mile Ranch. The ranch consists of agriculture low land, rolling grassy hills and dense timber that has been strategically logged for Wildlife. Hunters can expect to see several bulls daily, hunting strategies used will be intercepting elk as they travel to and from the low lands and calling. When the rut takes off in September there is no better place to be, high bull to cow ratios ensure for action packed archery hunting. The ranch has an excellent road system on mild terrain.

The Rock Ledge Ranches
Three separate ranches make up the 15,000 acres of the Rock Ledge Ranches. This ranch is rugged and challenging but the elk are usually very plentiful with some great bulls to boast. It is not uncommon to see as many as 200 elk in one day. UTV’s are used to ride old logging roads in order to gain elevation as the elk move to and from bedding areas. Hunters have enjoyed an extremely high success rate since we have leased this property. Spot, stalk and still hunting is the preferred method for rifle hunting with calling and strategic setups being the most successful during archery season.

Cow Elk Hunts
Montana Hunt and Fish Company has been contracted by one of the largest corporate ranches in the State of Montana to control and harvest cow elk numbers. This hunt is strictly a management objective hunt that will fill your freezer. Our 2011 hunters enjoyed a 100% success rate on wild cow elk. This hunt offers a spectacular guided opportunity for some of Montana’s finest cow elk hunting the state has to offer. The atmosphere and hunt setting will take your breath away as you hunt a piece of the finest Montana landscape. This hunt is a fully guided 2 day opportunity. “Per ranch policy, no one under the age of 21 is allowed on the ranch”.
